Anyone that has sang in front of an audience understands the struggle.
Not only do they have to remain composed, but they have to put on a show.
They have to focus on technique while also focusing on portraying emotion.
There are two types of performers: technical and emotional.
Technical performers focus on the use of the diaphragm, the pronunciation of words, their posture. Emotional performers are somewhat conscious of those things, but they're more concerned with what they're feeling, what the audience is feeling.
I wish I could perform without being concerned about the technicalities.
I wish I could just let myself feel while I sing.
Very few times in my life have I felt like it was just the music and I on that stage.
No audience, no pressure, just music and whatever emotion was present during that song.
It was the most glorious feeling I've ever experienced.
That's my goal. To not only sing to my best ability, but to move the audience with my voice.
